NOTICE BOARD
Deopham Christmas due on 20/12/09 (23/11/2009)

First win at Last !!!!! (13/11/2009)

Deopham finally got their season off running with a solid display against the Griffin.
Experience was the key as mercer and parry controlled the centre of the park in the early stages allowing graham and Ben to get forward and join up with catchy and Aaron. Deopham quickly set about the team we always seem to like playing, scoring within the first minute catchy pounced to get a strikers goal from 8 yards.
Good work from Ben was rewarded as Mercer volleyed in from cross that had been cleared to the edge of the box. Great technique to finish as he was under pressure from the griffin players.
The confidence started to flood back as deopham created chance after chance and catchy one again grabbed a striker’s goal after good work by graham again down the left 3-0.
Out of the blue graham spotted the keeper off his line to superbly chip the goalie from a at least 45 yards to make it 4-0 .
The griffin finally started playing in the last 10 minutes of the first half forcing a series of corners resulting in booker T heading in unmarked from a corner.
Half time 1-4
The desire and confidence was back and there was no way deopham was gonna let this one slip as the defence stood firm to hold out griffins attackers helped by the mercer and parry still managing to get around the park snapping into tackles all over the field.
Despite playing some good football on the counter attack deopham were unable to score again in the second half. Late on griffin grabbed another as a ball that should have been dealt with by gav and garthy was allowed to bounce and the griffin striker coolly lobbed brownie.

Full time 2-4

Great Result boys
